Heroes

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007

http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/ without a doubt one of the finenst shows ever brought to the Tv screem. How empty was my life, until the heroes filled it. Hiro rules !!

Shrek 3

Vey cute movie, brings the trilogy to a nice close.

Transformers

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007

Was bloody brilliant, as one would expect from Michael Bay ! The effects alone make the movie worthwhile, as does the eye candy Megan Fox. Shia LaBeouf is also really cool, and can bee seen in upcoming Disturbia and Surf’s up. Come on summer, come on !!!

The Unit

Bought and watched the above last weekend, it was so brilliant I was stunned. To think, my wife had to force me into watching 50 First dates, as I didn’t like Adam Sandler. Now, I have a special place for him on my shelf !

The Departed

Was absolutely brilliant, as was Employee of the Month.

300

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

In 480 BC. 300 brave men sacrificed themselves, in the name of freedom. Thier actions set in motion events that lead to what we today, call democracy. Weak and spineless men, realised that the ignorance of the masses could be put to good use, and the politician was born. All over this brave world of ours, men of weak character manipulate thier way into power, and are steering the ship towards the iceberg. Blinding the world with false truths, and starting wars.

I rate 300 as one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Not a movie for the faint of heart, or weak in character. Watch this movie, it will leave an imprint on your soul, and hopefully, make you a better person.

Go tell the Spartans, stranger passing by, that here obedient to their laws we lie.

John Connolly

Thursday, March 1st, 2007

I have excellent news, there is a new Charlie Parker novel, by John Connolly, coming out in May, called The Unquiet. If you haven’t read Connolly, stop what you’re doing, and go buy one of his books, read it, and feel what it’s like, to soar with eagles.

Readers block.

Last year I set myself a target, to read 52 books in a year. I fell a bit short of this, and only made 33. This year I want to read 34 books. So Far I’ve read Dan Browns: Deception Point, and Michael Crichtons: Next, and am halfway with James Pattersons: Beach Road, and am battling to get back into my reading. It’s not for lack of books to read, as I have stacks (literally) of books to read, just a desire to get stuck in and do some reading.
